The following terms and conditions are applicable for Embassy Guided Motorcoach Tours. Please contact us for the terms and conditions of tours advertised with our partnering companies.


Embassy Guided MotorCoach Tours

RESERVATIONS
Before making a reservation, we strongly recommend that you examine the tour you have selected and understand all of the terms and conditions that apply. Reservations should be made well in advance in order to guarantee the tour and availability.

We will require your name as appears on your passport, address, phone number and birthdate.

TOUR PRICE/PACKAGE
All rates specified are per person quoted in Canadian Dollars and are based upon the cost and conditions in effect at time of publication. However these rates are subject to revision prior to departure if circumstances require. These price increases may include but not limited to: fuel increase and currency fluctuations.

Terms and Conditions of casino package where applicable are subject to change without notice. This includes any rebates and meal coupons offered.

It is our intention to operate all tours as described. However, on occasion, the itinerary may need adjusting. Embassy Tours reserves the right to make the necessary changes required due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control before or during the tour. In the event of a change we will make every effort to provide a comparable alternative to minimize inconveniences.

TOUR DOES NOT INCLUDE
Meals unless otherwise specified, gratuities to waiters, maids, local guides or any other individual rendering a personal service. If you wish to express your appreciation to your Embassy Tour Director and Driver such gratuities may be extended on a voluntary basis.

EMBASSY TOUR DIRECTOR
All Embassy Guided Motorcoach Tours will have an Embassy Tour Director onboard. Her job is to take the hassle out of travel and ensure you will have a comfortable, safe, stress-free vacation. She will bring life to your destination with her past experiences, stories, and knowledge of the areas you will be visiting.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Rooms are allocated by each hotel. If you have any special requests, (close to elevator, ground floor, etc.) please advise at time of booking. Requests may not always be possible, as not all hotels have enough of each room type to accommodate all requests. Some hotels and casinos may have a non-smoking or no alcohol policy.

BAGGAGE
Each passenger is allowed one large suitcase not to exceed 50lbs., and one small carry-on bag.

DEPARTURE LOCATION
Embassy Tours must be contacted a minimum of 48 hrs prior to departure if you are changing your initial pick-up point. Failure to do so could result in a missed pick-up and Embassy Tours will not be held responsible. Please be at your requested pick-up point 15 minutes prior to departure time. We recommend that you take a taxi or get dropped off at your departure location, as Embassy Tours will not be held responsible for vehicles left in unauthorized locations.

COACH COURTESIES
Seat rotation may be required on some tours. Your co-operation is appreciated. Everyone wants to make the most of the time available and see as much as possible, so it is important that every participant is on time. For the comfort and enjoyment of all passengers consumption of alcoholic beverages and smoking is not allowed on the motorcoach. Out of consideration to all passengers on board, we request that you please refrain from wearing any perfumes, colognes or other scents on the motorcoach.

NAME BADGES
On the tour you will receive a personalised name badge. Our guests wear these in order to get to know their fellow travellers. The name badge also ensures that our representative can easily recognize you, particularly in crowds.

IDENTIFICATION
It is your responsibility to obtain and carry the proper documentation. Canadian citizens visiting the U.S.A., it is very important to have proper proof of citizenship with you. You are required to have one of the following; Valid Passport, Enhanced Driver’s License, Enhanced Identification Card or Nexus Card. Passengers not of Canadian citizenship should contact the U.S. Immigration Board.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
In order to protect your travel investment, Embassy Tours highly recommends that all passengers travelling to any destination purchase comprehensive travel insurance (Cancellation/Medical) at time of booking. We act as insurance agents for Manulife Insurance and would be glad to prepare your policy for your convenience.

TOUR OPERATORS RESPONSIBILITY
Embassy Tours accepts no liability in whole or in part for any injury, loss, damage to person or property; nor mechanical failure or delay in any carrier or persons handling tour related services; nor for any misconduct of parties of said tour. We reserve the right to make any changes or alterations that may be found necessary for handling or withdrawal of this tour package. In the event of a cancellation of a tour by Embassy Tours all payments will be refunded. Any responsibility of liability to Embassy Tours hereunder is expressly excluded by any matter or clause beyond its control including but without limiting the generality of the foregoing: Fire, explosions, weather, Acts of God, accidents, supply, riots, strikes, insurrections, emergencies, catastrophes, government interventions or controls.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

CASINO TOURS
Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable to a future tour. Name changes are permitted as long as we have received the information within 72 hrs of the departure date.

Full payment is required at time of booking, by Cash, Cheque, Visa or MasterCard

Itineraries for casino tours will be e-mailed once payment is received.

NON CASINO TOURS 4 DAYS OR LESS
Payment is non-refundable and non-transferable to a future tour. Name changes are permitted as long as we have received the information within 72 hrs of the departure date.

A deposit of $200 (unless otherwise specified) per person is required with each reservation and is due within seven days from date of booking. Payments can be made by, cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard. Final payment is due 45 days prior to departure.

Itineraries can be mailed or e-mailed with your invoice at time of deposit.

DURATION OF 5 DAYS OR LONGER
A deposit of $200 (unless otherwise specified) per person is required with each reservation and is due within seven days from date of booking. Payments can be made by, cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard. Final payment is due 45 days prior to departure.

Cancellations require a written notice. The following charges will apply according to the date cancellation is received.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Tours of 6 days or longer your documents will be sent approximately two weeks prior to departure. Documents include a tour itinerary, accommodation list, travel tips, and baggage tag. Tours of 5 days or less, itineraries and invoices are sent upon receiving deposit, with the exception of casino tours.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

UNITED STATES CUSTOMS

When entering the United States, travelers must inform U.S. border inspectors of all fruits, vegetables, plants, plant products, live animals, meats, and animal products, regardless of whether or not they are allowed. Failure to declare may result in fines of $300 or more.

DUTY FREE ALLOWANCES

Each person is allowed to bring back to Canada a specific amount of Duty Free goods based on their length of the stay outside Canada. We recommend you obtain a Canada Customs “I Declare” pamphlet before you leave Canada. (At the Emerson Duty Free) Please retain your sales receipts for proof of purchases when going through Canadian Customs.

Absence of 48 hours or more. You can claim goods worth up CAN $800 without paying any duty and taxes. You must have the goods with you when you enter Canada.

You are allowed to import only one of the following amounts of alcohol and alcoholic beverages free of duty and taxes as part of your personal exemption:

Wine Up to 1.5 litres OR Up to 53 fluid ounces OR Two 750-ml bottles of wine

Alcoholic beverages Up to 1.14 litres OR Up to 40 fluid ounces OR One large standard bottle of liquor

Beer or ale Up to 8.5 litres OR Up to 287 fluid ounces Approximately 24, 355-ml cans or bottles of beer or ale

*Bottle sizes vary, but the amounts listed are firm.

Tobacco products

  • 200 cigarettes
  • 50 cigars
  • 200 grams (7 ounces) of manufactured tobacco, and
  • 200 tobacco sticks.

Note: If you include cigarettes, tobacco sticks or manufactured tobacco in your personal exemption, you may receive only a partial exemption. You will have to pay a special duty on these products unless they are marked "DUTY PAID CANADA DROIT ACQUITTÉ." Canadian-made products with this mark are sold at duty-free shops. You can speed up your clearance by having your tobacco products available for inspection when you arrive.
