DAY 1 WINNIPEG TO SIOUX FALLS, SD
Your Arizona adventure begins as we travel south. Our first overnight will be in Sioux Falls.

DAY 2 SIOUX FALLS TO WICHITA, KS
This morning we continue south along the Missouri River crossing through the rolling plains of Iowa, the Midwest state of Nebraska and into Kansas Americas Heartland.

DAY 3 WITCHITA TO AMARILLO, TX
Today our adventure continues south through Oklahoma and into the “Lone Star State” of Texas. We travel along Old Route 66 where the scenery continues before stopping in Amarillo the “yellow rose of Texas” for the night.

DAY 4 AMARILLO TO ALBUQUERQUE, NM
Before leaving this grand state of Texas we make a stop at the famed Cadillac Ranch to snap a picture of the classic Cadillac cars nose down in the dirt a public art installation and sculpture. We travel through Tucumcari New Mexico where a large number of the vintage motels and restaurants built in the 1930’s 1940’s and 1950’s are still in existence. We travel onwards to Albuquerque where the spirit of route 66 still thrives.

DAY 5 ALBUQUERQUE TO TUCSON, AZ
Our day starts with a tour and stop at Old Town Albuquerque. Savor the unique fusion of Mexican, Native American and Spanish heritages. Take some time in Old Town to explore the wonderful shops and restaurants. Our departure from New Mexico takes us into “Grand Canyon State” of Arizona, with late afternoon arrival in Tucson our home for the next four nights.

DAY 6 TUCSON
We start our morning with a visit to the Sabino Canyon located in the Coronado National Forest home to spectacular desert landscapes and abundant wildlife. Experience the beauty of one of the most unique Southwestern desert canyons on a narrated tram ride. Later we enjoy a tour of the Historic downtown with a local guide. We end our day with a visit to the “White dove of the desert” the Mission San Xavier del Bac.

DAY 7 TUCSON
This morning we spend time at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum a world renowned zoo, natural history museum, and botanical garden all in one place! The fun continues with a visit to Old Tucson Studios, home to more than 300 films and tv shows including some of Hollywood’s biggest Westerns.

DAY 8 TUCSON
Today we take an excursion to Tombstone – the “Town Too Tough to Die”. We will get a glimpse of the glory days of the “Old West” in this frontier silver mining boomtown. Here you will be able to enjoy the Tombstone Courthouse, Big Nose Kate’s Saloon, The Bird Cage Theatre, Ok Corral and many more.

Day 9 TUCSON TO SCOTTSDALE
We leave this pretty desert city for another. En route to Scottsdale we stop at Rooster Cogans Ostrich Ranch, voted one of the best roadside attractions in America! Here you will have the opportunity to see and feed their many critters. Next we tour the Queen Creek Olive Mill, followed by dinner at Organ Stop Pizza a must do experience! You will be tapping your feet to the familiar songs being played on the Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ. After dinner we check into our hotel located in the heart of Scottsdale, with views of pools, palm trees, and Camelback Mountain.

DAY 10 SCOTTSDALE
Wake up in the colorful city of Scottsdale “Valley of the Sun” a destination that embraces creativity and boasts 330 days of sunshine. Today is yours to relax or explore. Soak in the sun by the pool, stroll the streets of Old Town or hop on the complimentary trolley to Fashion Square for shopping.

DAY 11 SCOTTSDALE
This morning explore the world through music at the Musical Instrument Museum. Providing you a one-of-a-kind experience with more than 6,500 instruments on display from around the world. This afternoon we enjoy a narrated cruise of the Saguaro Lake onboard the Desert Belle. Tonight you are in for a treat as you enjoy a BBQ feast at the Rustlers Roost including live western music with a view.

DAY 12 SCOTTSDALE TO GRAND CANYON, AZ
Leaving Scottsdale behind we travel north through cactus-studded scenery with a stop at the Montezuma Castle National Monument, one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. We continue north through the fragrant pine groves of Coconino National Forest to Sedona “Arizona’s Scenic Sensation”. Get a taste of the old cowboy days where you encounter red rock formations and stunning landscapes. Soak in the atmosphere as you span the colorful vistas while taking time to browse the arts and crafts shops in the marketplace. We leave Sedona with a glorious drive through Oak Creek Canyon where the rock formations seem to change hue with every turn in the road. A perfect ending to our day with a visit to the IMAX Theater at the National Geographic Visitors Center. Here you will get an overview of the Canyon and all of its grandeur on their massive 6 story high screen.

DAY 13 GRAND CANYON TO MOAB, UT
This morning you will be awestruck as we drive along the Grand Canyon’s south rim, the most visited location at the world’s greatest natural wonders. With spectacular scenic views and vistas, neither pictures nor words can fully describe the spectacular beauty of this famous attraction. Later a short drive brings you to Cameron Trading Post. For nearly a century, the post has been a haven for travelers, traders and explorers who come from all points of the globe to see the wonder of the Grand Canyon and experience the Native American cultures of the Southwest. Have your cameras ready for some incredible shots as our journey takes us past Monument Valley a red-sand desert landscape of towering sandstone buttes. Moab is our home for the night where in the late 1940’s the legendary John Ford discovered the area’s rugged beauty and filmed the first of many movies here.

DAY 14 MOAB TO CHEYENNE, WY
Wake to a magnificent sunrise over the red cliffs before we depart Moab for Arches National Park. See first-hand where the wind and rain have eroded the sandstone into more than, 2,000 natural arches. Wander through a kaleidoscope of geologic time as the lights play upon the ancient, multi colored stone. Our fabulous scenery does not end here as we continue through the Rocky Mountain State of Colorado, Mile High City of Denver and city of Cheyenne.

Day 15 CHEYENE to DICKINSON, ND
This morning our journey continues through the expansive grasslands of Wyoming and past the heavily forested Black Hills area before reaching Dickinson for the night. Enjoy an Embassy Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.

Day 16 DICKINSON TO WINNIPEG, MB
Today our amazing Arizona Escape comes to an end as we travel across the state of North Dakota with a stop in Fargo and the Pembina Duty Free Store. We arrive in Winnipeg and say so long to our newfound friends and Embassy Tour Director.
