DAY 1 WINNIPEG TO LARCHWOOD, IA
Your musical adventure begins, as you are welcomed aboard by your Embassy Tour Director. We travel south with stops at the Emerson Duty Free for shopping and Fargo for lunch. Our first overnight will be in Larchwood, Iowa at the luxurious Grand Falls Casino Resort. En route we visit the Terry Redlin Art Center in Watertown. Here you will have the opportunity to view and purchase the work of one of America’s most famous western artists.
DAY 2 LARCHWOOD TO BLUE SPRINGS, MO
This morning, we head south past farmlands via Council Bluffs into Nebraska for lunch and a guided tour of Boys Town USA. Founded by Father J. Flanagan in 1917, this site is now the national headquarters for programs that help risk children & families. Tonight we overnight Blue Springs.
DAY 3 BLUE SPRINGS TO BRANSON, MO
Today we our travels takes us to Southern part of Missouri, sit back, relax and enjoy the rolling hills, winding rivers and lakes as we enter the beautiful Ozark Mountains. En route to Branson we visit the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield the “Grandaddy” of all outdoor stores. Explore their seven intricate aquariums, in-store-swamp with live alligators and turtles. After our visit enjoy a group lunch at Lambert’s Café, the home of ‘throwed rolls’ where there motto is “We hope you come hungry, leave full, and hopefully have a laugh or two!” Next door to Lamberts is Heather Hill Farms where time will be given to browse through their store which offers local cheeses and wines. Today’s journey ends in Branson, our home for the next four nights at the charming 3 Diamond Award Winning Clarion Hotel. This evening we will experience our first live musical performance.
DAY 4 BRANSON AREA
We begin our day with an exploration of “Old Branson, the original town with “Dick’s Five & Dime” store and Branson Landing featuring specialty shops, dining and entertainment located on the waterfront of beautiful Lake Taneycomo. After lunch we enjoy a scenic sightseeing tour of beautiful Table Rock Lake, and surrounding river systems, with a stop at the College of the Ozarks one of the most unusual little liberal arts colleges in the country. It was founded in 1906, and charges its students no tuition. Every full-time student works at a campus job to help defray his or her expenses. Guided by a student of the college we will visit the Williams Memorial Chapel, Greenhouses, Mill, and the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen. Tonight we keep you busy with a dynamic entertaining evening show.
DAY 5 BRANSON AREA
This morning we will take in an energetic morning show, followed by an afternoon at Silver Dollar City. It’s more than just an amusement park, it’s an experience that you won’t ever forget! Included with your visit are live shows & entertainment, with more than 40 shows are performed in the parks various theatres and amphitheaters. Witness skilled artists as they practice their craft in one of the country’s few-remaining expositions – where you can actually watch carvers, quilters, iron workers, glass blowers, and other master craftsmen create unbelievable things right in front of you! This evening enjoy another great music performance.
DAY 6 BRANSON AREA
Our last full day in Branson starts off this morning with some “FREE TIME” to relax, explore “The Strip” on your own or join your Tour Director for Outlet shopping. This afternoon we take in one of the most popular shows in Branson. We conclude our day with another exciting live music performance.
DAY 7 BRANSON TO DES MOINES, IA
We start our return journey homeward, taking a different route. We make a stop in Osceola for a visit to the Osceola Cheese Company, home of over 250 varieties of cheese. We continue our travels north through Missouri and into agricultural Iowa, for our nights stay in Des Moines. En route we pass through the historic town of Winterset to view some of the Bridges of Madison County, which were featured in the 1995 romantic drama starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. This evening join your Embassy Tour Director for our group dinner” at a favorite local restaurant “Dedicated to the American Farmer”.
DAY 8 DES MOINES TO MINNEAPOLIS, MN
This morning we travel north through Iowa Amish country and into Minnesota State known as the Land of 10,000 Lakes. An early arrival allows us time to visit the Mall of America, one of the top tourist destinations in the country.
DAY 9 MINNEAPOLIS TO WINNIPEG
As we travel back to Winnipeg, we recall the many treasured places and sites we have experienced. We’ll bring home with us not only souvenirs, but also many happy memories of the foot tapping music and good humor. With a stop in Grand Forks and Pembina Duty Free, we continue home to reunite with family and friends.
