DAY 1 WINNIPEG TO MINNEAPOLIS, MN
Our musical adventure begins as we head south this morning. Stopping at Emerson Duty Free followed by lunch and coffee break en route. Soon the Minneapolis skyline appears, and our first overnight.
DAY 2 MINNEAPOLIS TO CHAMPAIGN, IL
We continue on today and travel through the dairy state of Wisconsin and enter Illinois for our next overnight.
DAY 3 CHAMPAIGN TO PIGEON FORGE, TN
Heading towards Tennessee, we bisect the states of Indiana and Kentucky, land of the famous Blue Grass and Horse Farms. Soon we see the haze of the Great Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge where we will spend the next three nights.
DAY 4 PIGEON FORGE
Today we start the day with an dynamic music variety show. Afterwards enjoy the beautiful colors of fall at Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Theme Park. Watch visiting crafters at work throughout the park as the country’s most talented artisans showcase their artistry with up-close demonstrations. Handmade treasures for the home, unique collectibles and stunning artwork create an impressive craft exhibit. Special dishes all prepared with a taste of fall, showcase some of the harvest season’s most celebrated recipes, including a booth devoted to Dollywood’s signature fried green tomatoes. Take a ride on the authentic 110-ton coal-fired steam engine, which takes you on a breathtaking five mile journey through the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.
DAY 5 PIGEON FORGE
A day to enjoy the unsurpassed scenic beauty of “The Place of the Blue Smoke”, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, America’s most visited park. Led by a local guide you’ll have a memorable visit viewing pristine forests and natural wonders. Afterwards we visit the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery, enjoy a true moonshine experience, as you approach the entrance you’ll actually smell the grains cooking and fermenting. You’ll see working moonshine stills and learn the process from beginning to end. Free time for lunch and shopping in Gatlinburg, a pretty little Smoky Mountain resort town. This evening we enjoy reserved seats to Dixie Stampede an extraordinary dinner show with thirty-two magnificent horses and a cast of top-notch riders. They will thrill you with daring feats of trick riding and competition, pitting North against South in a friendly and fun rivalry.
DAY 6 PIGEON FORGE TO NASHVILLE, TN
We arrive in Nashville our home for the next two nights. Join your tour director and fellow passengers for complimentary evening drinks and snacks in the hotel. Later visit the fabulous Gaylord Opryland Resort an entire city housed under a magnificent glass atrium.
DAY 7 NASHVILLE
This morning we get acquainted with America’s capitol of Country Music. A local guide will officially welcome you to Nashville by sharing history, stories of the people and music on a fascinating panoramic city tour. After lunch enjoy a visit to examine music’s past and present at the Country Music Hall of Fame, the largest museum of popular music in the world. As you explore this shrine to country music you will gain insight into the lives and music of many music icons through the museum’s vast collections of memorabilia, costumes, recordings, photographs and instruments. This evening we have premium reserved seats for an unforgettable show at the world famous Grand Ole Opry, the mecca for country musicians.
DAY 8 NASHVILLE TO MEMPHIS, TN.
This morning’s drive takes us to Memphis, the birthplace of Rock and Roll, Blues and Soul. We are introduced to the city with an orientation tour viewing the city’s many highlights including historic Beale St. where the Blues were born. Later pay homage to the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” with a pilgrimage to Graceland. Step inside Elvis former home for a personal look into the man behind the legend. Stroll the grounds and you might find yourself humming “Blue Suede Shoes”
DAY 9 MEMPHIS TO BRANSON, MO
Leaving Tennessee behind we enter Arkansas and the scenic Ozark Mountains. The views stretch for miles with lovely forests, rushing streams and quaint towns. We drive through Little Rock, the home of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Arriving in Music City, Branson Missouri, we experience our first musical performance this evening.
DAY 10 BRANSON
This morning we show you the “other” Branson, the town off the strip! First to downtown Old Branson and then to Branson Landing, the new showcase of the Ozark town. Stroll along Lovely Lake Taneycomo, visit the unique shops or dine at the many restaurants. Back on the strip we visit the Curling Vine Winery where you will be shown the winemaking process, followed by a short wine-tasting session. We wind up our day with an evening show.
DAY 11 BRANSON
Free morning to shop or relax! We have two live music shows planned today with singing, dancing and comedy to complete our stay in Branson.
DAY 12 BRANSON TO BLUE SPRINGS, MO
Leaving the Ozarks behind us we head northward into Missouri to Springfield where we visit the Bass Pro Shop the “Grandaddy” of all outdoor stores. Time will be given for lunch and to explore their seven intricate aquariums, in-store-swamp with live alligators and turtles. Our day concludes with an overnight in Blue Springs.
DAY 13 BLUE SPRINGS TO LARCHWOOD, IA
This morning we head for St. Joseph where we will spend some time at the Pony Express Museum, where the original Pony Express Office was in the 100-year-old hotel. We traverse across Missouri, and into Iowa for the night.
DAY 14 LARCHWOOD TO WINNIPEG, MB
Your Embassy Tour has come full circle and it’s homeward bound today. A short stop for some last minute shopping followed by Duty Free shopping in Pembina. We are back home from our musical adventure with fond memories and new friends.
