Minneapolis To Milwaukee, WiOur travels today takes us into America’s Dairyland Wisconsin. Our final destination today is Milwaukee located on the shores of Lake Michigan, and the largest city in Wisconsin. It is best known for its famous breweries brats and baseball, however we will learn there's far more to this city. One of its nicknames 'Cream City' has nothing to do with dairy! It refers to the cream-colored limestone bricks used in the construction of the city's early buildings. Keep an eye out for it when you're touring this town! Enjoy a two night stay at the Pottawatomie Casino & Resort.
MilwaukeePrepare for an exhilarating day as we get an authentic taste of American history and culture as we tour this city by the lake. Bikes, Brats & Beers is the theme, with an exclusive tour of one of Milwaukee’s top tourist attractions the Harley-Davidson Museum.Learn the history, passion and fun from garage start-up to the iconic global brand it is today. Get a close-up look at Milwaukee Beer Baron History, and sausage–making heritage as we travel through the Menomonee and Miller Valleys, and down “Sauerkraut Boulevard”, where all the German beer makers lived.Stop for a generous included lunch complete with a selection of Milwaukee’s finest Usinger brats at a popular Bavarian themed restaurant. After lunch stroll Old World Third Street, a three–block historic landmark zone. Shop at Wisconsin Cheese Mart, the legendary Usinger’s Sausage, and The Spice House a feast for the senses!Next is a visit to the Lakefront Brewery for a lively guided tour and tasting. Learn the opening dance sequence and sing the song of the 70’s hit series Laverne & Shirley. We conclude our tour with a local favorite treat for dessert.
Milwaukee To Wisconsin Dells AreaPrior to our departure we take in more of the “must see” of this amazing city. After all our visit to Milwaukee would not be complete without getting a selfie with the Bronze Fonz. A public artwork by American artist Gerald P. Sawyer, located on the Milwaukee Riverwalk. The Bronze Fonz depicts Henry Winkler as 'The Fonz,' from the 1970s television series Happy Days. Our next stop is the Public Market located in Milwaukee’s “SoHo” the Historic Third Ward neighborhood. Here you will have a chance to have a bite to eat and explore the specialty stores in the market as well as the nearby streets. We say good bye to Milwaukee and travel westward to the Dells where we will spend two nights at the Ho-Chunk Casino & Hotel.
Wisconsin DellsWe spend the whole day today experiencing and exploring the highlights of the area. First enjoy an Upper Dells boat cruise journey through the majestic sandstone bluffs cradling the Wisconsin River. These sandstone grottos, towering cliffs and monoliths were fashioned by glacial meltwater at the end of the last ice-age, along with the colorful canyons have made the Dells world famous. After our scenic cruise we visit the House on the Rock, an architectural wonder and a visual treat, the views are spectacular! This Ultimate Experience has room after room of some of the world’s most unique and eclectic collections. Each exhibit is filled with exotic the majestic and the unexpected, massive fireplaces, pools of running water, and a circus building with a carousel, you will have ample time to explore it all!
Wisconsin Dells To Minneapolis AreaThis morning we learn a fun fact about Wisconsin as we visit the Circus World Museum for a guided tour. Here in Baraboo Wisconsin was home to the Ringling Brothers. I really enjoyed travelling with Embassy Tours over the years. I was always well looked after, plus I did a lot of travelling alone and always knew the tour director...
